S.H.E. Squared is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to empower and motivate women of all ages and backgrounds in the areas of Social responsibility, Health and wellness, Education and Economics. S.H.E. Squared will provide workshops, seminars, scholarships and community support to individuals and organizations that are either female driven or geared towards the advancement of women.
S.H.E. Squared partnered with Letourneau University, HCA Healthcare, Mayor Sylvester Turner, and the Texas Nurses Association to celebrate Houston nurses during National Nurses Week to raise money for S.H.E. Squared "Future Female Leaders" scholarship and the Washington-Nixon Nursing Scholarship.

SHE Moves! Dance Workshop
S.H.E. Squared in collaboration with the Houston Health Department, National Football League Foundation and Texas Southern University Tigress Sensations will host our second annual "SHE Moves! Dance Workshop" for young girls ages 8-15. This workshop was designed to combat childhood obesity by providing nutrition education and encouraging physical activity. This event is FREE and open to the public.

"Rooted in Wellness: Community Health Festival"
S.H.E Squared is hosting "Rooted in Wellness: Community Health Fair" a fun-filled day of celebrating and embracing a healthy lifestyle. This free event included health and wellness vendors, health screenings, workshops, and more. The festival will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Fifth Ward Multi-Service Center located at 4014 Market Street. Vendor registration and sponsorship opportunities are available.

Workshop: “Understanding Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and the Role of Clinical Trials”
Presenter: Ashley Dolmo, MPH, CHW, Wellness WoRx Community
Details: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, skin, and joints, yet many people have never heard of it or don't recognize its signs. This workshop will cover common symptoms, who is most affected, and why women of color face higher rates of lupus and its complications while remaining underrepresented in research. Through patient profiles, attendees will explore the everyday barriers that keep people from getting the care and information they need. We'll also explain what clinical trials are, the protections in place for participants, and simple ways to start conversations about lupus with loved ones and community members. Attendees will leave with free educational materials and resources.

Details: Discover how innovative wearable neurotechnology is changing the conversation around everyday wellness—without drugs, chemicals, or invasive methods. In this interactive workshop, attendees will learn how Super Patch technology is designed to support areas such as pain management, balance, mobility, sleep, focus, and overall well-being. Participants will also experience simple live demonstrations that show how technology interacts with the body in real time. The goal is to educate, empower, and introduce attendees to a new approach to taking a more active role in their wellness.

Workshop: “Know Your History. Know Your Risk. Protect Your Future.”
Presenter: Necole Coleman, BS, MLS(ASCP), Founder & CEO, Inherited Hearts Foundation
Details: Your family health history can reveal important clues about your own heart health. In this interactive workshop, Necole Coleman will share her personal experience surviving an aortic dissection and discovering an inherited cardiovascular risk, while helping participants understand why knowing their family history matters. Attendees will learn how to identify important patterns in their family's health history, start conversations with loved ones, and ask informed questions about inherited risk, early detection, and screening. Participants will leave with practical tools to take a more active role in protecting their health and their family's future.

S.H.E. Squared is bringing back the "Women in Business" Pitch Competition. A program designed to support women in building financial independence and grow existing businesses. This competition is open to 100% female owned and operated for-profit businesses in Houston and surrounding areas. Applications open September 1, 2026, and close October 31, 2026.
